A sculptor by trade, a Canadian by birth and upbringing, Bell has lived and worked in the Carrara region of Italy for more than 25 years. Since 1991 he has been living with his family, several cats, various gold fish and turtles at "Pianaccio", an old Farm house in the middle of a 350 tree olive grove on Pietrasanta's hillls in Tuscany. It is here that he creates the original models that are then transformed by the local foundries, and studios into the timeless materials of cast bronze or silver, marble, granite and mosaic.
