The site is correctly viewed with any 3rd generation browser or greater (Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer), as it doesn't include any JavaScript/VBScript code. The only limitation is about SSL and data encryption, due to the fact that browsers versions minor then 4.0 could not accept the 128 bit encryption technology, anyway this may cause problem only when ordering, and not while just surfing the pages.

Please avoid to click the "back" and "forward" buttons of your browser while you are using the Shopping Cart (Adding Items, Modifying Cart's Contents etc.), when you are inserting your data, when you are placing an order or during the payment procedure. Apart from these situations, you can freely use the browser's navigation buttons.

This site uses ASP technology, therefore set your browser so that it accepts cookies. Cookies may not damage your system in any way. No cookie apart from the ones needed by the site to work correctly will be set, unless you enable "Autologin" from your Personal Page; in this case a cookie will be set on your Computer to automatically log in every time you load our Home Page.

We recommend to enable your browser's cache: this will considerably speed up the navigation of the site.

Browsing the Shops

The Gift Shop and the Art Shop are the places where you can have a look at the items on sale: in the Gift Shop you will find Marble items, made in Pietrasanta and divided in categories, while in the Art Shop you can have a look at the artist's Exhibits as well as at the Artists personal pages. Items in Gift Shop are unlimited in quantity, while the Art Shop includes only pieces available in a certain quantity: every item showed will have a total existing quantity and an Available Quantity. Every piece will be sent together with a Certificate of Authentication signed by the Author. Furthermore you will find a 15 seconds MPEG movie as a presentation for each artist.

In the Gift Shop Availability is indicated for every item (e.g. "Ships immediately", "Ships in one week" and so on).

The Shopping Cart

To add an item to the Shopping Cart you just have to go to the product's page and click on the "Add to Cart" icon. Then you will be guided to two more steps that will allow you to choose the quantity. Please notice that in some case there will be a limited quantity (e.g. regarding the Art items), and the cart won't accept quantities bigger than the available. In this case a red message will be displayed.
You can check the status of your cart just clicking on the cart icon at the top-left of the page. Then you will be sent to the Cart's page, where you will be able to modify the contents, delete the cart or proceed to CheckOut.
Remember not to use the Back/Forward buttons of your Browser while using the Cart.

If you are logged and you add items to a Cart, and then you stop browsing the site, you will find the the Cart next time you log in, with the chosen items inside. This does not apply to the "quantity limited" items, that will be put again in the Shop to be available for other buyers.

Registering

Before proceeding to CheckOut, you have to register, giving us all the required data that will allow us to process the order. The data you insert are protected by SSL 40 bit Encryption (VeriSign Certificate), and they will be safely stored in our database. This will avoid you to put in your data again next time you want to order. You can modify your data in any moment, you just have to log in and go to your Personal Page. If you change your data (Address etc.) after placing an order, they will be used from that moment on, and the previous order's data will remain unchanged. Shipment

After registering, you may choose the shipment you prefer: for foreign Countries, available shipments are Snail Mail, Air Mail and Federal Express Courier. Shipment costs are automatically calculated. Not all the shipment types will be ever available, due to Forwarders limitation (e.g. Federal Express won't deliver in some Country). Shipments terms change according to the destination Country, so it is impossible to exactly calculate them. Anyway, Federal Express will deliver items in about 3-10 days (barring accidents), while Air Mail shipment will take about 15-30 days and Snail Mail 20-40 days (barring accidents). These are only estimated times and they are calculated from the shipment date.

Placing an Order

After you put something in the cart, you are able to place an order (CheckOut). Please be sure to have finished your shopping before proceeding to CheckOut, as the order will be processed according to the contents of your current Cart. In case you place an order and you want to add another Item (different from the ones you already have in the order), you can either: 1) Delete the current Order clicking on the Icon on the order Page; 2) Proceed to payment an then fill cart again and place another order.

Until you are on the order's page, you can adjust the quantities for each item just clicking the "Modify Order" Icon. The quantity can also be 0, in this case the item will be deleted from the order.
On the same page, you can also modify the Shipment Address and the Shipment Method. Shipment costs will be recalculated.

If you place an order and then you stop browsing the site, your order will be stored and you will find it in your Personal Page next time you log in. Items subject to "Limited Quantity" will be deleted from order and put back in the Shop to make them available to other users.

Payment

After you click the "Proceed to payment" button at the bottom of the order's page, you will be sent to a 128 bit SSL protected page where you have to insert your Credit Card details. At the moment we only support VISA and MasterCard.
Please notice that your Credit Card's details won't be held by us, they will be used only by Banca Sella, a well-known Bank dealing with OnLine payments since ten years ago.

Credit card will be debited only when the order is shipped, not before.

If your payment is accepted, the order will be confirmed and you will receive an e-mail at the address indicated in your data, with a summary of the ordered items. We shall inform promptly of the status of your order.

Shipment and Order Processing

If you have placed one order or more, you will find them in your Personal Page under "Current Orders" Label. Just click on one of them to view the order and it's status.You can always delete an order until it is not shipped. After shipment, order can't be cancelled. In case of order deletion, your Credit Card won't be debited.
