The Man

Born in Olomouc (Moravia) in 1944, in 1965 he leaves his city. Three years later he is in Paris. He has a brilliant international career, with many personal Exhibitions in the mos important cities of Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Geneve). He travels much in the "triangle of culture" between Rome, Paris and Venice. "When you leave a Country, you are broken by the evidence of your own RACINES. My RACINES are cultural, defined by filiations from Bernini to the French Neo-Classical school, from the Renaissance to the baroque architecture... I was born at the roman empire , Italy or Moravian borders, and I am more interested in borders than in Countries", says Yvan.

The borders are contact places, where the streams meet and cross, and it's here that you can feel a joyful and prolific inspiration. It is here that the multiform Theimer's genie finds its explanation: he does not try to set different influences free, but he RIVENDICA them. In this talented artist, who sculpts, paints and GRAVE in an equal good way, the creative act doesn't go without a RIAFFERMAZIONE of aquired values. Italy, Greece, Egypt gave him a rich MOISSON of symbols, letting him renew his art in every moment, evoking far RESONANCES. Between his works, we find three bronze Obeliscs for the Palace de l'Elysée (1984-1987), the low relief of foir sons of Aymon for the FACADE of Caran (National Archives, 1988) and the Commemorative Monument for the Human Rights Declaration in Champ de Mars (1989).
